What is Sunday MCP?
Sunday MCP is a connector that links Sunday's merchandise platform to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. Do I need a Sunday account to use it?
Yes. The connector signs in with your own Sunday account through OAuth, so the assistant works with your catalog, stock and orders. Creating an account is free.
What can I do with Sunday MCP?
Get product and pre-made kit suggestions, calculate prices, request quotes, select products and request designs, plan shipments, send merch and gifts, request reporting, build budget suggestions and shareable wish lists, reorder in one prompt as a quote, and ask data questions such as current stock, items shipped or your most popular countries.
Can the AI place orders on its own?
No. The agent cannot place an order. It generates a quote and shows or sends it, and a person approves it through a link. There are no automatic orders today.
What stays with a human?
Three things: approving orders, confirming shipments, and signing off designs against your brand guidelines. Everything leading up to those steps, from ideas to quotes to shipment plans, the assistant can prepare.
What data can Claude access through connectors?
Only what each connector exposes, within the permissions of the account you sign in with. Claude does not get blanket access to your systems. Through Sunday MCP that means your Sunday data: catalog and pricing, quotes, stock, shipments and reporting for your account. The same principle applies in ChatGPT and Gemini.
What is the difference between Claude skills and MCP?
A Claude skill is a packaged set of instructions and files that teaches Claude how to do a task in a particular way. MCP connects Claude to an outside system so it can read data and take actions there. A skill is know-how. MCP is access. Can I reorder merch in one prompt?
Yes. Ask the assistant to reorder a previous order or a kit and it prepares a quote. A person approves the quote before anything is produced or shipped.
Can I use Sunday MCP with my CRM or other connectors?

Is Sunday MCP secure?
It signs in through OAuth with your own Sunday account, and it cannot commit spend: every order goes through a quote a person approves, and every shipment needs human confirmation. For your wider setup, use official connectors, start with read-only questions and keep approvals with the budget owner.
