The project
Liquid Death built a full NASCAR-style racing jacket, patches, sponsor-style branding and all. On paper it's an odd pairing for a canned-water brand. In practice it fits perfectly.
How it scored
Product: 8.5
A real racing jacket, not a t-shirt with a checkered flag printed on it. The format itself is the statement, and it's executed with genuine racewear detail.
Branding: 7.9
Liquid Death's loud, tongue-in-cheek identity translates naturally onto racewear, though the execution leans a little safer than the brand's usual over-the-top energy.
Activation: 7.5
It's for sale, which limits reach, but the sheer novelty of a water brand in NASCAR gear does real work generating attention on its own.
The verdict
One of the coolest brand extensions we've reviewed: an unexpected category that somehow makes total sense for this brand.
