The project
Make, the visual AI automation tool, didn't build a custom product from scratch: it took an existing, genuinely useful Moccamaster coffee machine and rebranded it in its own iconic pink, then made it a reward inside its internal loyalty program.
How it scored
Product: 8.3
Not a custom-built object, but picking a well-known, well-made machine that people actually want and putting the brand on it is a smart shortcut to a desirable product.
Branding: 7.8
The execution is basic: mostly the logo applied to the machine. The bold, unmistakable pink colorway is doing most of the work here.
Activation: 8.5
Tied directly into an internal loyalty program where employees earn points toward different merch. Comments confirm it was one of the most popular items to redeem, real engagement, not just a gift.
The verdict
A simple idea executed well: take a product people already want, brand it boldly, and make people work for it through a points system that clearly gets used.
