New York vibes with a touch of Italy
Taste, quality and service is what New York Pizza stands for. The entire concept is focused on that. Choosing high-quality and fresh products is a matter of course for New York Pizza. It is the combination of its distinctive cooking methods and American-style service - where we go the extra mile whenever possible - that forms the basis of the New York Pizza concept.
The company ordered Christmas branded sweaters for their company a few years ago. Those sweaters got used for marketing purposes: photoshoots, events, social channels, … But what they didn't expect was that so many people were crazy about them! On the one hand there were a lot of employees who asked if they could get a Christmas sweater but on the other hand there were also a lot of clients who noticed the sweaters on social media and wanted to do everything to get one. “How much do they cost? What should I do to get one? How long should I stand on my head? I would do anything for such a cool Christmas sweater!” - A few questions the New York pizza team received.
So when they started to think about a new campaign for the Christmas season the next year they immediately had to think about the success of their Christmas Sweaters. “The Christmas season is all about giving presents” says content manager Kirstie. That's why we came up with the idea to give away a few of our branded Christmas sweaters on social media channels.
Problem? We had to be able to move very quickly. Gladly we wanted the sweaters for "ugly Christmas sweater day" already and on top of that we wanted an updated design of the old sweaters.
Fortunately, Sunday was a very strong partner who thought along with us and made every effort to deliver the sweaters on time. The design of the sweaters is in the typical green of New York Pizza and has some funny elements woven into it that matches the brand and the festive season: reindeer, pizza slices, …
New York Pizza did not want to do a simple give away on their social media channels. It was important for them to reach a broader audience in order to gain even more brand awareness. Therefore they worked together with an agency who reached out to some popular Dutch influencers. Those influencers wore the Christmas sweaters on their personal social networks, which caused a very large audience to see the sweater and the New York pizza brand in a short amount of time.
Kirstie talks about a huge success: a lot of new followers on the New york Pizza social channels and a lot of activity on the posts: likes, comments, tags, … It was entirely the success they hoped for.
